The Missouri Ambulatory Surgery Center Association (MASCA) has announced two new members on its Board of Directors: Angie Worley and Sandi Baber. Both Worley and Baber will join a dynamic 10 member board led by Board President Ellen Kluesner, who is serving her second term over the last five years.
“This board represents the right amount of experience, talent, and energy that we need as we work towards the ambitious goals we’ve set out for the MASCA membership over the next few years. Angie will be a key voice on policy issues impacting health care in rural areas of the state. We are also fortunate to have Sandi’s valuable experience on both the clinical and leadership side of surgery center operations,” said David Jackson, MASCA’s Executive Director.
MASCA Director-Angie Worley, Administrator of West Plains Surgery Center located in southwest Missouri. She joined West Plains Surgery Center as Administrator in 2007. She has successfully achieved two consecutive 3 year AAAHC accreditations for her multi-specialty center. West Plains Surgery Center is a proud member of both MASCA and ASCA. Prior to working in the ASC arena Angie worked for an outpatient physical rehabilitation clinic for 11 years where she continued to advance through the organization to become their Chief Operations Officer.
MASCA Director-Sandi Baber, is the Vice President of Operations for Meridian Surgical Partners. She has over 25 years of healthcare experience both in clinical and leadership roles. She was president and chief executive officer of Baber Healthcare Consulting, a business she founded to assist physicians with development and management of outpatient surgery centers and ambulatory care facilities. She has served in a variety of leadership roles, most recently as the vice president of operations for Blue Chip Surgical Partners. She served as vice president of service line operations at Audrain Medical Center where she was instrumental in starting a Comprehensive Cancer Center and a state of the art Comprehensive Heart Center.
